As an organic cow-milk based formula, Premilait Cow Stage 1 uses organic lactose. Lactose is an important ingredient as it is the main sugar carbohydrate found in breast milk. It regulates insulin and promotes healthy gut bacteria. All formulas made in the European Union must have at least 30% of the carbohydrates come from lactose. This is a regulation you won’t find in U.S. made baby formula.
Also, formulas containing added sucrose are banned in Europe due to obesity fears and other dangers it can cause. When you choose Premilait Cow Stage 1 formula, you don’t have to worry about these types of unhealthy ingredients.
